New features: Browse by genre, artist list, exclusive tag
Jun 4th
In the never ending quest to improve the page, my web development department just launched a couple of new features on dancendancen.com:
- If you click on exclusive in the menu, you will see all tracks which were released exclusively on dancendancen.com – great to get a fast overview of what makes this blog special.
- It took us some time, but now every entry is associated with a genre. I’d like to keep it simple, so we stick to some basic categories like Electro House, Techno or Dubstep. I know, there are many more genres and subgenres, and often it’s hard to decide, what the best category for a track is, so lets see it as a rough guideline. And anyhow, throw your genre taste barriers over board, and broaden your horizon!
- Another simple, yet interesting feature is the list of artists, sorted alphabetically. There is still much room for improvement here, I’m thinking about pictures.
What do you think about the new features? Do you miss anything else?
Please leave us some comments, so we can make this page even better!

i miss the possibility to share single streams (instead of complete posts)

Hm, what do you mean by single stream? A Podcast?
I provide links to the mp3s themselves, so you should be able to share this link as well (although you then miss my witty remarks about the track)

neither a mp3 link nor a blog link, but a stream link. like sharing soundcloud streams.

Ah, interesting idea – let’s see, how much work that is!

It seems like about three hours of work
What do you think about this solution?

- It’s “embed” – not “embeed”
- it’s ok for blogs, but i can’t share the stream on facebook. but i see, that it’s your comments which get lost.
