Lets come straight to point: This page is dedicated to the best electronic music on the whole planet. After playing as a dj for many many years I think i can say that I gathered some knowledge about music. And it is long overdue that I not only share it at concerts, but as well write about it.

The recent years have seen a drastic shift in music distribution, and in terms of the dj market, a big part of this shift is due to the final breakthrough of digital dj systems. It has never been easier to be a dj: there is more music available than ever before, and the software and hardware requirements are at a ridiculous low point.

Basically I think, this is a good thing. But to keep on top as a dj, you have to adapt to the new situation: You cannot gain an advantage by having the latest releases, because a good track spreads everywhere instantly (I still remember the time, when djs where pasting stickers over their vinyl inlays, so nobody could see the records name). You have to compete with the best djs in the world, constantly, because their sets are online the next day after a concert.

So, how can I stay ahead? By building a relationship with your audience and by proofing, that you know your stuff. Thats what I will try to do here in the future. There are some other key elements for being a good dj as well, but maybe I will cover that at a later time
