Overthrill – Your Life (SnapCrack Remix)
Apr 8th
My friends from No/Fi Riots sent me a link to a French project called SnapCrack, as they thought that I may like it. And they were wrong: I love it!
SnapCrack saw the light of day in early 2010 when two longtime friends decided to combine their talents and their destinies. They had been performing together since 2004, essentially playing a mixture of dj and live sets at free parties.
They describe there style being influenced by electro, hip hop, drum ‘n’ bass and rock. Their music features assassins drums and dangerous basslines, which is true for every track I heard from then up to now. But you should listen for yourself:

The first forty seconds are shaped by a massive guitar reef and doubled vocals, which both are only used in the breaks. Between we get a nice fat bass-drum and two crisp synth lines, which produce enough energy to keep a big party going. The last big break sports a nice melodic change with spheric tunes – fantastic!
SnapCrack is one of the upcoming french acts you should follow – or do you want to risk to miss the next Justice?
